Teenage Drivers
The graduated driver's license program is designed for people 15 to 17. It allows you the opportunity to develop your driving skills. It restricts nighttime and unsupervised driving at first, but these restrictions are lifted over time.
You will earn full driving privileges at 17, or after keeping your Conditional or Special Restricted license for one year, as long as you received no traffic offenses and were not at-fault in any collisions.
Requirements

If you're 15 or 16 and applying for your first driver's license, we will give you the Certification of School Attendance, Driver's Education, and Driving Practice (SCDMV Form PDLA) and all of the following must be true:

You have held your beginners permit for more than 180 days from your permit issue date before we can road test you.

We offer both the education requirements and instructor led driver training

You are enrolled in public or private school (not suspended or expelled) or are homeschooled, and you have satisfactory attendance.

You have practiced driving with a licensed individual

You have a completed SCDMV Form PDLA. ( We will give you this )
Teens. You must take the 8hr classroom session before your driving lessons
Teen Driver Education
State mandated program for students under the age of 17 looking to obtain a restricted driver's license - 8hrs classroom and 6hrs behind the wheel driving, plus an insurance discount certificate valid until the student turns 25. $260 paid at the time of the class, and $80 paid at each 3hr behind the wheel driving lesson

Insurance Discounts
SEE YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY
This is the course required by insurance companies to qualify for an insurance discount. Insurance discounts are given to those students under the age of twenty-five (25) who have successfully completed an instructor lead driving course. The Insurance Discount Course will consist of (8) hours of classroom instruction.

Teen Driver Education

WE ARE A THIRD PARTY TESTER.
Our class teaches the basics of driving plus we show our young drivers the risks involved in driving.
Our topics include:
Alcohol impairment; Illegal drugs; Emotional driving and road rage non involvement.
A big part of driving is building trust between a driver and a parent. We teach safety first, speed control, proper lane movements, right and left turns, blind spot checking, three point turn, 100 ft backup, parallel parking, overnight parking.
